On Campus Jobs

At Saraswathi Vidyalai, we believe in ‘learning by doing’ and one of the many ways we apply this philosophy in our curriculum is by offering special ‘on-campus’ jobs to our students. Children are given the opportunity to choose a job in an area of their liking – mentoring younger students, office activities, communal services, and others. To make it feel real and to give them an idea of what life after school consists of, the school not only gives them the opportunity to learn by taking responsibility, but a token remuneration is also offered to the children.

This program has offered us a great insight into the bright young minds that we educate, and observing them in their element helps us understand them better. This also bridges the gap between teachers, administrative staff, and students making them feel a lot more comfortable and confident in their day-to-day activities in the school.
